Jai Saraf
Founder & CEO

Jai has over 30 years of experience acquiring, setting up and turning around companies in the steel and metals & mining sectors around the globe; he’s played various roles on the Executive Board, in senior management and in operational and financial positions.

Before starting Nithia, Jai was CEO of International Mineral Resources, CFO of ENRC (now ERG), Finance Director of Mittal Steel (now ArcelorMittal), and Finance Director of various operating companies of Mittal Steel. Later he founded and was CEO of International Chrome Holdings and Turchrome.

Jai is a Chartered Accountant and holds Master’s Degree in Finance and Business.

Rajib Ranjan Guha
Partner

Rajib has 20 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets and M&A in various geographies across the world.

Prior to Nithia, Rajib was Chief Investment Officer at Zamin Resources, Managing Director (Emerging Markets) at Royal Bank of Canada, Vice President at Citibank(London), Vice President at JM Morgan Stanley.

He is a CFA charter holder and has a Master’s Degree in Business and Administration.

Anil Bangur

Anil Kumar Bangur, has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, commercial and operations management in the mining and metal industries.

In previous roles he has served as CFO (Copper and Cobalt Division) of ENRC Africa. Prior to that he was CFO for Chambishi Metals Plc and Luanshya Copper Mines in Zambia. Anil also served on various key managerial positions now Arcelor Mittal Lazaro Cardenas.

Anil is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Gold Medallist from Banaras Hindu University.

Ankit Kothari

Ankit has over 10 years’ experience in cross functional activities of Corporate Finance – M&A, Due Diligence, Fund Raising, Project Advisory, Credit, Treasury, MIS and Audits.

Previous roles include: AVP (Investment Banking) at SBI Capital Markets, Manager at CRISIL, Finance Executive at Landmark Group, Associate (Business Advisory) at PwC.

Ankit is a Chartered Accountant and CFA Charter holder.

Waseem Iqbal

Waseem has over 15 years cross-border experience in strategy, finance and corporate development in the metals & mining, steel, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.



Prior to joining Nithia, Waseem worked for the founder of one of India’s largest conglomerates, was Chief of Staff to the CEO of Essar Steel, strategy consultant at CRU Strategies, and General Manager at Wahome Steel, Ghana.



Waseem holds BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Reading; an MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management from Cambridge University and studied Corporate Finance at the London Business School.

Sudharshan Bubna

Sudharshan has over 15 years’ experience in M&A, internal audit and due diligence roles across several jurisdiction globally including India, UK, Brazil, Uruguay & Turkey.

Previous roles include: Head of Consulting at Singhi & Co., Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young.

Sudharshan is a Chartered Accountant and is Honours graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.

Ruchi Daga

Ruchi has been associated with Nithia since its inception and has been part of the core team.

She has over 10 years’ experience in M&A, due diligence, project advisory and compliance.

Ruchi is a Chartered Accountant and has a Master’s Degree in Business and Administration.

Vijay Sindhia
Technical

Vijay has over 45 years of experience in Metals & Mining and has held various technical and senior managerial positions.

Before starting with Nithia, he was in various technical roles with firms such as with Gold search Technical Services (Zimbabwe), Chambishi Metals (Zambia) and Feni Industries (Macedonia). His senior management roles include operations at ArcelorMittal in Kazakhstan, Trinidad, Algeria and Poland. In India he has previously worked at Steel Authority of India (SAIL).

Vijay holds a first class Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mysore.
